  1. Architecture History Now
Art + Architecture Building, University of Michigan
    02.01.19

This workshop event brings together representatives from the Aggregate Architectural History Collaborative to discuss three recent projects, summarizing their ambitions, present findings, and consider initiatives for publishing architectural research. In a single session, over a span of 3 hours, those assembled will sketch out their imperatives and engage in a discussion with the audience to share motives, methods, and views on the future directions of scholarship. In a seminar-style conversation, presenters from each project will be speaking about the process of soliciting work, identifying techniques for the Aggregate workshop process, and talking about the process of editing and publishing. Aggregate will serve as both a topic of discussion—the collaborative format—and a sample specimen for assessing the state of the field. Additionally, the event features a panel of U-M PhD students presenting doctoral research, with Aggregate representatives responding.
