A Talk by Ceasar McDowell, Professor of the Practice of Community Development at the School of Architecture at MIT

    October 20, 2016, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
    Claire T. Carney Library
    University of Massachusetts Dartmouth

Today, in cities and towns across the world, the public is comprised of the most demographically complex set of people who have ever lived together. This demographically complex public is fractured, divided and in many cases in conflict. In this lecture Professor Ceasar McDowell will offer reflections on what it will take to stitch together this fractured, complex public and build more equitable, just and truly democratic communities.

The event is made possible through a 2016 UMass President’s Creative Economy Initiatives Fund. Light refreshments will be served.
